New Indiana Jones 4 poster!

Here it is. The official poster from the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull poster. I think it's great. This is very much like most of the other teaser posters that came out before the actual poster. Remember the one for Temple of Doom? With the tag line "If adventure has a name, it must be Indiana Jones". How great is that?
I really like this poster and I'm excited about the final poster, the one that will inevitably have the montage of faces on it, similar to all of the other posters.
I really hope this movie is good. Indy looks great in every pre-release picture I've seen. Shia as the son looks kinda cheesy though. I hope it's good.

GO Speed Racer, GO!

GO Speed Racer, GO!
The trailer for the new Speed Racer movie was released. Apparently they premiered it during entertainment tonight a few days ago, but I have a link to the online version HERE. You can watch the smaller regular sized trailer or you can rock any of the HD trailers as well.
The trailer looks really trippy and cool. It's about as close to a live action Anime if I ever saw one. They do the really weird transitions and blurred backgrounds as they move. The Wachowski brothers have really pushed the line, similar to how they pushed the line for The Matrix. It's crazy and I can't wait to see it. It's going to be great.

Dark Knight poster revealed

Well, here is the new Batman poster. I gotta say, it's pretty cool. I like it. They've had a really great marketing campaign going for this movie in the Joker related pranks and websites like www.whysoserious.com and such. I'm really looking forward to the movie next year.

Checking the hotel reservations

In April is my cousin's wedding in Florida. So, of course, the first place I go to check for prices on Hotel Reservations is hotelreservations.com. The site is easy to use and you just plain get the best prices. You can usually get around half off a regular rate, but sometimes up to 70% off. With rising hotel rates these days, that can really save you some cash. Not to mention the gouging going on with airfare, you need to find someplace to save some money.
So, book with hotelreservations.com, you won't regret it.

Lookout! No brakes!

This is crazy! My brakes went out on the road yesterday. Seriously.

Apparently I am leaking brake fluid. I noticed on the way to work that my brakes felt a little bit loose. Nothing that really concerned me, but they didn't feel as tight as they normally do. Then I had to make a run up to Saint Louis from the Clayton war room. On the way to Saint Louis, the brakes felt really loose. I checked my brake fluid once I parked and it seemed almost empty and there was some wetness on the inside of one of my tires. I thought, that's not good.

So, I then started heading back to Clayton when I really didn't have any brakes. I had to use my handbrake to stop. So, I decided to forgo heading back to work and just headed home, but I stopped and picked up some brake fluid.

Now I'm on my way to Midas to have them check me out. Hopefully it won't be TOO expensive.

Great portable scanner for trials

Working in Litigation Support and supporting trials, one thing you need onsite is a good portable scanner. I know from working the numerous trial's I've worked, including the one I JUST won, that you definitely need a good portable scanner onhand. You will definitely need the scanner in the breakout room at the courthouse, and you may even need the scanner in court. I don't often have a need to scan something in the courtroom, but it has happened. Either way, you need a quality, lightweight scanner that's reliable.

I saw the ScanShell 2000N and wanted to mention how perfectly this scanner would cover your needs in trial. Granted, this isn't a war room ready scanner capable for handling documents hundreds of pages long, this is a lightweight scanner ready to travel back and forth to court with you every day. Here's the skinny on the scanner.

  • It's only 14oz, so it's super lightweight.
  • It's USB 2.0
  • NO EXTERNAL POWER NEEDED. That right, it's powered by the USB connection.
  • 600 dpi color
  • Comes bundled with all of the software you need to run it.
  • TWAIN compliant
  • 8 1/2 x 14 max paper size

This scanner's footprint on the desktop is so small, you can literally set it behind the laptop until you need it and you'd never notice it was there. So, if you are going to trial anytime soon, you should definitely check this ScanShell 2000N out.
