Your abandonment...

I am so sorry for your apparently abandonment. I started a new job, as you may have been following along with on the blog, and it's been crazy hectic in the transition. The new job is pretty good though. It's very different from my previous job in some respects, and in others it is very much the same. It's funny how those things work out.

Encylocentral...Lots of stuff there

Encyclocentral.com has a bunch of cool articles, you should check it out. They’ve got an article on what a Merchant Account is and why you would need one. My wife usually buys books from Scholastic, but on the site she can get books from The Scholastic Store Online. Very cool. You should check it out.

Technically jobless

So, my last day at my current job...er...previous job was today. I am currently jobless, although I start my new job on Monday. That's right. I'm a bum for exactly two days. Which reminds me...can you spare some change?

Some dark humor to get you through the day

Here’s a great site for free cartoons, and who doesn’t like cartoons? Especially when you’re at work and things are a little bit slow. A funny cartoon with some dark humor can make even the longest day at work go just a little bit better and faster. These cartoons are not some fly by night kid who decided to post his little drawings; these cartoons have appeared in many magazines including the National Enquirer, Sun, Saturday Evening Post, and Funny Times. Check it out.

I liked that show...when it was called Angel

So, apparently CBS has a new show coming out called Twilight about a vampire. The official description is:

...a drama about a vampire/private eye who's dealing with the fallout from
being immortal, his foes in the vamipre world and a budding love for a
mortal.

Yeah, I liked that show when it was called Angel. I mean seriously...I'm sure it'll be a bit different, but that description could be a left over description of Angel that they dug up somewhere.

Wirefly's top 10 phones. Is yours on the list?

The online wireless leader released it’s annual top 10 lists of phones. You can read the article yourself at this link to Wirefly's top 10 cell phones. To recap, the lists is:
Cingular Wireless RAZR
T-Mobile RAZR
Verizon Wireless RAZR
Cingular Sony Ericsson z520a/z525a video phones
T-Mobile Motorola v360
Verizon Wireless Motorola v276
Sprint Nextel Motorola i850
Sprint Nextel Motorola i710
Cingular Motorola v220
T-Mobile Samsung T309

Unfortunately, my phone is not on the list. I like my phone, but of course, I wonder if I shouldn’t have gone with one of these if they were so popular. I really like the newer RAZR phones too. Considering the top three selling phones are all RAZR phones, just through different providers, really tells you something.

The article even lists their previous year’s predictions, along with a link to the original posting, and it’s amazing how accurate they were. They predicted Music and mobile TV phones would be big, cell phones for children, and expanded GPS service to name a few.

It’s all very interesting. You should check it out.

Not happy

I'm not sure what the deal is, but I got a blue screen of death TWICE on my new PC. It could be an issue with applications or drivers on the new Vista OS, or it could be a hardware problem. Normally, a blue screen leans toward the hardware problem arena. I ran a checkdisk before leaving home today. Hopefully that will shed some light on it. Perhaps the hard drive is bad and needs replacing. It's possible. Hopefully it's something that easy to fix.
