Building a PC?

I’m getting ready to build a new PC for myself. I prefer to build my own PC over buying a pre-packaged PC for various reasons. I think the primary reason is pride of ownership. I mean, yeah, I can customize the PC to my exact specifications and get exactly what I want from it, which is something you can’t always do with a pre-built PC, but there’s that pride of ownership in stating that you built your own PC. When someone asks you what kind of PC you have, you tell them the name you gave your PC. Oh yeah, if you build it, you’ve got to name it. Riptide, HAL, Compy-2000, whatever you want to call it. You’ve got to name it if you built it.
So, I was searching around for some info on cases and computer cooling accessories and I stumbled upon a great forum that discusses the latest trends in PCs and what’s hot and what’s not. For instance, they’ve got a great discussion going about the x1950xt video card. Man, this thing ROCKS! I’m not 100% sure if it’s going into the monster I’m building, but it’s definitely in the running. So, if anyone is looking for a great spot to discuss PCs and whatnot, check them out. Cool guys. They’ll answer just about any question you can come up with.
